- Potatoes (how ever many you want)
- your favorite toppings (garlic butter, cheese, bacon etc)
Boil potatoes- the original recipes says 15-20 minutes but when we tried to smash them they were too hard. Started over and found that 25 minutes worked best.
1 clove garlic crushed
When the potatoes or done boiling take them out and either use a potato crusher- we put a paper towel over the potato and Dan used the palm of his hand to smash it.
Add your toppings: We used the garlic oil, cheese and bacon
Broil until cheese is melted. The original recipe said 7-10 minutes. Stupidly, I walked away and let it go for 8 minutes:
They were so over done that they completely dried out. They were inedible. I’m thinking maybe 4-5 minutes would have worked better. I love the idea of these so we’ll try again some other time.
