#31 Cheeseburger Macaroni



1 lb ground beef, turkey or chicken

1 tbsp cornstarch

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp sugar

1 cup hot water

2 cups milk

1 1/2 cups macaroni

2 cup shredded sharp cheddar




Brown your ground turkey.


Drain the fat off the meat and add spices, water, pasta and milk and bring to a boil.

DSCF0137Turn heat down to a simmer, cover until the pasta is finished stirring occasionally. Add your cheddar cheese and turn off the heat. Stir until the cheese is melted.


This was only okay. Neither of us felt that it was very flavorful. Also, the original recipe didn’t say to cover it and this caused us a lot of problems getting the pasta to cook. Finally, we had to add more water and cover it. This took a lot more time. I doubt we’ll make it again.
