#33 Brown Sugar Baked Peaches



  • Per serving:
  • 1 fresh peach
  • 1 tsp. unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 to 4 tsp. brown sugar, divided
  • Sprinkling of ground cinnamon, to taste



Halve peaches and remove pit. I found removing the pit to be a real issue but I finally succeeded without loss of limb. Place in baking dish, skin side down.

DSCF0143Place 1/2 teaspoon butter in the hollow of each peach, top each peach half with 1 or 2 teaspoons brown sugar, and sprinkle with cinnamon.

DSCF0144Bake at 375 degrees until peaches are tender, about 30 minutes. Serve warm.


I was afraid that the butter would be overwhelming but it wasn’t at all. I was also impressed by how juicy they were. I found this to be an easy, tasty dessert.
