#53 Refreshing Raspberry Lemonade

2 cups natural flavor lemon juice (or fresh squeezed)

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 bag frozen raspberries

Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher

Mix together the sugar with 1 1/2 cups water and stir to dissolve to make a syrup

Add the syrup to the lemon juice and top it up with 3 cups water and 2 cups of ice mix it well. Taste to make sure it’s sweet enough for you, and then add the raspberries. Mix the lemonade together and let chill in the fridge. (Keep in mind that the raspberries are tart, so be sure to sweeten enough!)

This was better than I even expected. I wasn’t sure about not using fresh squeezed lemon juice but there was no way I was going to do that; I don’t have a juicer. We took the whole pitcher out to the pool and drank it all day. It’s perfect for a party because it’s very flavorful and much less expensive than providing soda for everyone and much healthier too. I think we’re going to try frozen strawberries next time!
